VisualME - Technology

VisualME

VisualME is 100% web software that runs in the background on the same web server as your web site. VisualME stores leads and web site content in a database, but uses a unique design that allows VisualME on your external website to be fully functional, even if your database is not available.

VisualME Technology

A browser can be any browser used to access the Internet. You are using a browser to view this page.

Your web site runs on a web server. VisualME requires an IIS web server (Internet Information Services server), but if your web site runs using UNIX, or some other hosting environment, we can host VisualME for you to work with your site.

VisualME consists of ASP web pages and XML Data.

ASP stands for Active Server Pages. ASP allows processing to be done on your web server instead of in your browser, providing a highly secure environment. We also use ASPX, a .NET version of ASP, for certain functions.

XML stands for Extensible Markup Language. It is a standard specification for structuring data that makes the data easy to share between pages and with other programs over the web. It is very fast and very reliable.

SQL stands for Structured Query Language (pronounced sequel). It is the standard way most modern databases store and retrieve data. We use SQL to talk to the SQL Server database that VisualME uses to store data.. A major problem with some database-driven web sites is that if your database goes down, so does your web site. VisualME overcomes this problem by maintaining your data in XML on your web server. If your database goes down for any reason, your web site and VisualME continue operating normally.
