VisualME is 100% web software that runs in the background on the same web server as your web site.
VisualME stores leads and web site content in a database, but uses a unique design that allows your web site to keep running -- even if your database goes down.

A browser is the program that you use to surf the Internet. You are using a browser to view this page.
Your web site runs on a web server. VisualME requires an IIS web server (Internet Information Services server).
VisualME consists of ASP web pages and XML Data that run on your web server.
ASP stands for Active Server Pages. ASP allows processing to be done on your web server instead of in your browser.
XML stands for Extensible Markup Language. It is a standard specification for structuring data that makes the data easy to share with other programs over the web.
SQL stands for Structured Query Language (pronounced sequel). It is the standard way most modern databases store and retrieve data.
A major problem with database-driven web sites is that if your database goes down, so does your web site.
VisualME overcomes this problem by maintaining your data in XML on your web server.
If your database goes down for any reason, your web site and VisualME continue operating normally. |
